Carson City is inviting all non-profit organizations and government agencies to apply for Community Support Services Grant (CSSG) funding. Non-profit organizations and government agencies are welcome to fill out the Letter of Intent here to apply for the CSSG. Projects or programs must be for Carson City residence. In addition, your agencies proposal must meet one of the following critical needs of the community:

  • Mental Health/Substance or Domestic Abuse Services
  • Youth Services
  • Disabled Services
  • Health/Dental Services
  • Senior Services
  • Educational Services

It is imperative that you describe in the Carson City Letter of Intent why your project or program is a critical need for the community.  Approval to move forward with the application will depend heavily on how well your agency is able to justify how the project or program is satisfying a critical need for Carson City residence. CSSG Funding is provided on an annual basis, with the program year running from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. Current applications are for the 12-month period beginning July 1, 2021.  Upon approval by the Board of Supervisors, the grant money will be included in the next succeeding year’s budget and will be distributed on a reimbursement basis. All grants approved shall be subject to funding availability.

Letters of Intent are due on January 15, 2021, by 4:00 p.m. to Carson City, Department of Finance, 201 N. Carson Street, Suite 3, Carson City, NV 89701.
