A free continuing education opportunity for those in public safety is available at the 2nd Annual National Summit of State Tip Lines: Intersection of Law Enforcement, Education and Mental Health.
The Oct. 22-24 conference in Reno will have speakers and deliberations on topics such as preventing school shootings, tip line operations and law enforcement roles, response protocols for interdisciplinary teams, trauma-informed and resilience-oriented leadership, and social workers’ roles in tip response.
“I highly encourage attendance,” said Hannah McDonald, executive director of Partnership Carson City. “Those in public safety, school educators and leadership, healthcare professionals, state administrators, community members and others interested in school safety will benefit greatly.”
A continental breakfast and lunch will be served each day of the summit at the Whitney Peak Hotel, 255 N. Virginia St., where there is also a room block available.
