Summary

This event aims to raise awareness about the safe disposal of unused and expired prescription medications, helping to protect the community and the environment.

Partnership Carson City invites the community to its bi-annual Drug Round-up event on Saturday, October 25, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Safely dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs, over-the-counter medications, liquids, pet medications, and sharps (syringes) at one of three convenient Carson City locations:

📍 Save Mart – 3620 N. Carson St.
📍 Smith’s Food & Drug – 559 E. William St.
📍 FoodMaxx – 3325 Highway 50 East

“This event is not just about getting rid of old medications,” said Samantha Szoyka, Deputy Director of Partnership Carson City. “It’s about keeping our loved ones safe and protecting our environment by ensuring these substances don’t end up in the wrong hands or in our water supply.”

In addition to safe disposal, free Naloxone (Narcan®) will be available—a medication that can reverse the effects of an opioid overdose and save lives.
