Carson City highlights acquisition near Ash Canyon for National Trails Day

Come celebrate Carson City’s trails on National Trails Day tomorrow at 8 a.m. Carson City will be hosting an event near Ash Canyon. Mayor Bob Crowell will say a few words about Carson City’s Open Space program and will be joined by members of the Carson City Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department, the Nevada Land Trust and Muscle Powered.

Hiking areas are on rough terrain, so participants are asked to wear close-toed shoes and to bring water, a hat and sunscreen. We also ask that you try to arrive a few minutes early so we can start promptly at 8 a.m. The public event will conclude by 10 a.m.
