Free virtual community yoga
July 27 @ 5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
An event every week that begins at 5:15 pm on Monday, repeating until September 29, 2020
We’re going virtual with out yoga series to continue providing a needed respite with the ongoing limitations due to coronavirus (COVID-19).
The free one-hour Wellness Yoga series takes place at 5:15 p.m. on Mondays. Instructions for joining the sessions are available below. The classes will be recorded and available here afterward.
“All ages and genders can benefit from yoga — especially now,” said Hannah McDonald, executive director of PCC. “Yoga is known to help with physical and mental health, pain management and as a stress reliever. With all the rapid changes over the last couple weeks, we see this as an opportunity to unite and help our community cope with our current environment, specifically given the inactivity and isolation that can come with staying in.
“It has been a fantastic thing to watch the classes grow and thrive, and the last thing we wanted to do was to cancel the sessions. Our Partnership team wants to continue to be there for anyone who needs support.”
Participants should wear comfortable clothes and have a mat ready if possible. The course is taught by independent contractor Adria White.

You may need to download the Zoom software — easier than it sounds; you’ll be prompted with instructions to follow. It’s recommended you test your system by clicking on the link in advance of the meeting to ensure your system is up-to-date.
You’ll be asked if you’re joining by computer audio or phone. Most likely you will need to join by phone (it’s listed on the top of the box), unless your computer has audio or you are using a tablet (like an iPad).
- If you click computer, it will give you instructions to test your speakers.
- If you select phone, the phone number option and meeting ID will appear on your screen. Just dial the number and when prompted, enter the meeting ID and follow the prompts.
There are several numbers provided and are designed to serve as a back-up, but each will connect to the same meeting (they are offered due to high call volumes).
If you’re joining before the meeting starts, you’ll see the main screen.
We recommend that if needed, you turn off the video of yourself and mute yourself unless conversation or interaction is desired.
If you need technical assistance, text Partnership’s Samantha Szoyka at (775) 291-6715 – and she’ll call you to discuss.
