Save the date – Saturday, October 21, 2023, is not just any ordinary day in Carson City. It’s the day Partnership Carson City proudly presents its bi-annual Drug Round-up, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. This event is much more than a community gathering; it’s a crucial effort to raise awareness about the impact of keeping unused and expired prescription drugs in our households.

The initiative is carefully designed to safeguard the well-being of our most vulnerable community members. We are dedicated to providing essential education on the proper disposal of unused or expired prescription drugs, over-the-counter products, prescription liquids, pet medications and sharps (syringes). You can participate by visiting one of the four convenient drop-off locations in Carson City: Save Mart Supermarkets (3620 N. Carson and 4348 S. Carson streets), Smith’s Food & Drug Store (559 E. William St.) and FoodMaxx (3325 Highway 50 East). For added convenience, at-home drug disposal kits are available, offering a simple, safe and responsible way to dispose of medications.

At Partnership Carson City, we are committed to creating a safer, healthier community for all. As part of this mission, we offer free medicine lock boxes, medical lock bags and commercial cannabis lock bags. Help us spread awareness by sharing this blog with friends and family. We look forward to seeing you!
