At New Beginnings, we’ve seen lives change in big ways, but we also know that transformation is a journey—one that comes with both victories and struggles. Eddie is still finding his way, but he recently got something that gave him a fresh start in an unexpected way: a brand-new smile.
Eddie’s life hasn’t been easy, and like many who come through our doors, his past took a toll—not just emotionally, but physically. As many of you know, we met Eddie while he was living on the streets of Carson City. Today, Carson City has one less homeless person on its streets. While he’s still working through challenges, one big thing changed recently. Thanks to his insurance, he was able to get a full set of new teeth.
New Beginnings didn’t provide or pay for this, but we were able to help him navigate the process and make sure he got the care he needed.
Now, he has something to smile about—literally. It’s not the end of his journey, but it’s a step forward. And sometimes, even small steps can make a big difference.
Eddie is now the second client in our program to receive this kind of renewal, and it’s a reminder that restoration happens in so many ways. We are beyond grateful to walk alongside him in this journey and to see how God is working in his life, even in the little things.
Eddie’s desire is to return to Carson City as a positive member of society when he is finished at New Beginnings, to share his story with those still experiencing homelessness, and to offer hope—along with his beaming new smile!
Because when God restores, He does it completely.
