Meet Daren
Probation Tech Support
My name is Daren Kight. I’d like to start by saying I am truly blessed each day for the opportunity to work with the adolescent population in my community. Some would consider me one of the new kids on the block when it comes to working with the amazing people at Partnership Carson City; however, I am no stranger to helping people in our community. I will admit that the decisions I made as a kid influenced my career choice today. I set out on this career path in 2014, after earning a Bachelor’s Degree in social work and a minor in the Center for the Application of Substance Abuse Technologies program. In 2017, I returned to the University of Nevada Reno and gained a Master’s Degree in Social Work. For the past 6 years, I worked for a local nonprofit program that helps families in need. I began working for PCC in March 2020, and I couldn’t imagine being happier! I have been given the opportunity to work directly with youth who’ve found themselves in trouble with the law. I feel in my heart that this opportunity is one of the biggest reasons I have chosen my career path.
